I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas and am a licensed psychologist specializing in pediatric, child and adolescent, and family psychology. I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology from Tulane University in 2000. I completed my Masters of Arts and Ph.D. in child psychology at the University of Texas at Austin in 2006, and my pre-doctoral pediatric psychology internship in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University Medical Center. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship also in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University Medical Center and Lucile Packard Children Hospital at Stanford University Medical Center.

My training there was in pediatric psychology with a focus on childhood cancer, blood disorders, and neuro-oncology treatment and survivorship and a range of specialty pediatric services, including but not limited to solid organ and bone marrow transplant, neonatal intensive care, feeding disorders, developmental disorders, adolescent medicine, eating disorders, and gastroenterology. I was contracted with the LIVESTRONG Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinic at Dell Children's Medical Center conducting psychological assessments and providing school advocacy for children coping with long-term treatment effects, particularly those surviving brain and spinal tumors.

I also have extensive experience working with children with severe emotional and behavioral issues that are in foster care or require residential treatment and am the contract child psychologist for Helping Hand Home for Children in Austin. I currently work with children, adolescents, and their families and utilize an ecological, family-systemic, and interpersonal approach to therapy. I also implement shorter term behavioral and problem solving modalities for clients facing less complex but still problematic emotional and behavioral difficulties. I conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments of children and adolescents for a range of diagnostic questions, including learning disabilities and attention and executive functioning deficits.
